In 2025 we became the first vet practice in the UK (and the second employer in Greater Manchester) to achieve triple accreditation from the Living Wage Foundation. This means that we pay our employees the Real Living Wage, offer them secure hours, and help them to save for a dignified retirement.
£45,000-£65,000 per annum (pro rata)
After opening in 2023 and quickly growing to a 6-vet practice, our independent, multi-award winning cat-only practice is looking for a veterinary surgeon with a dentistry bias (either a certificate holder or someone who just loves cat dentals!) to grow our team.
We have created a really lovely working environment where our team members are fulfilled and supported. We designed our practice to take into account both the needs of cats (with fantastic equipment and facilities) but also to make a beautiful space where our clients and staff feel relaxed and comfortable. We like CPD, we want to keep up to date and are always looking for ways to improve. We will support you to develop your interests and encourage you to become the vet you want to be.
We are a small family business… which means no corporate targets and the ability to have a great working relationship with the owners rather than tiers of middle management and bureaucracy. If you think we should be doing something differently, we're all ears! We really appreciate our team's input and ideas and don't want any barriers to getting things done well.
We want the whole team to have a good work-life balance and a sensible rota. Full time employees typically work 8.30am-6.30pm or 9.30am-7.30pm 4 days a week, with 1 full weekday off and no weekend / OOH work. Part time or flexible hours are welcome, including shorter days (e.g. school hours). For example, we have one member of the vet team who works 2 days with us and also locums - we’re happy to have another arrangement like this. We may also be able to consider a term time only role for the right candidate.
We would like our next vet to have a dentistry bias as we currently do a large amount of dentistry to a very high standard and take dental referrals. This could be doing dentals every day (we do two every morning, with consults in the afternoon) or doing more of a mixture, with a bias towards more dental days.
No weekend or OOH work
Full time, part time or flexible hours
6 weeks holiday inclusive of BHs
Enhanced pension contributions (Living Pension accredited)
Up to 5 days paid CPD leave (pro rata)
£1500 CPD allowance per annum
RCVS, BSAVA, BVDA & VDS membership paid
Two free Healthy Cat Plan memberships for your own cats
Staff discount scheme
To apply, please email a CV and covering letter to manager@manchestercatclinic.co.uk or feel free to drop us a line with any questions or for an informal chat / tour first.
The closing date for applications is 31st August 2025, although we may close applications sooner if we fill the vacancy quickly, so we would encourage interested candidates to get in touch sooner rather than later.
£12.60/hour (£24,897.60 per annum pro rata)
Our independent, multi-award winning, triple Living Wage Foundation accredited, cat-only vet practice has a rare opportunity for a receptionist to join our friendly team.
We are happy to consider full-time or part-time candidates for this position and although our preference is for candidates to work compressed hours (1, 2, 3 or 4 days 8.30am-6.30pm or 9.30am-7.30pm), we could consider other shift patterns for the right candidate.
Front of house - managing the diary, taking payments, taking telephone calls, answering emails and social media messages
Maintaining the organisation and cleanliness of the reception, consulting rooms and staff room

Monitoring & collating client feedback
Administration of the healthy cat plan
Helping with the practice social media accounts
Real Living Wage, Living Hours & Living Pension accredited employer
Opportunities for additional ad-hoc hours for holiday cover if part time

No weekend work - we are open Monday-Friday
6 weeks holiday inclusive of bank holidays
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Organisation and multitasking skills
Great attitude and personable nature
A love of cats and desire to provide outstanding customer care to their owners

If part-time, the ability to do ad-hoc additional cover for holidays etc is desirable but not essential.

Please include answers to the following questions (this can be written, voice recording or video recording):
What aspects of your personality and skills do you feel make you well suited for the role?
