Vacancy - Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) - part-time

A rare opportunity has come up for a part-time RVN to join our independent cat-only practice in South Manchester. We are looking for an experienced RVN who can help us continue our high standard of patient and client care, while being supported to develop their interests and achieve a healthy and fulfilling work/life balance.

We are looking for an RVN with the following qualities...

An ISFM certificate or other further qualifications would be desirable but not essential. We are happy to support and develop the right candidate.

Do you love it when your practice runs like a well-oiled machine? Are you always looking for ways to improve? Do you return from CPD full of ideas for how to work to the highest standard? Then we are your perfect match!

It's important that our whole team works hard to give clients and cats a great experience from the moment they first learn about us to the moment they tell all of their friends how great we are! We will be part of the community and want everyone to feel welcome.

What can we offer you?

We designed our startup practice to take into account both the needs of cats (with fantastic equipment and facilities) but also to make a beautiful space where our clients and staff feel relaxed and comfortable.

We like CPD, we want to keep up to date and are always looking for ways to improve. We will support you to develop your interests and encourage you to become the nurse you want to be.

Our highly skilled RVN team works together brilliantly and has a great pool of knowledge and experience which they love to share and develop. You’ll be mentored by our fantastic head RVN Amy, who has extensive experience in emergency care and has presented CPD for Vets Now and BSAVA.

… which means no corporate targets and the ability to have a great working relationship with the owners rather than tiers of middle management and bureaucracy.

If you think we should be doing something differently, we're all ears! We really appreciate our team's input and ideas and don't want any barriers to getting things done well.

Our full time employees typically work 4 days per week (8.30am-6.30pm or 9.30am-7.30pm) with 1 full weekday off and no weekends / OOH. This position is for 2 days per week and we can be flexible on hours - you can either work full days or shorter days if needed.

Our current rota would fit with you working Mondays and Thursdays but we can move things around if needed. Opportunities for additional ad-hoc shifts will be available if you want them.
